Moderator: Jacek Cieślak
Returning to Reims by the prominent French philosopher and sociologist Didier Eribon has been for many the most important book translated into Polish in the recent years. In the story about social and identical exclusion of a gay from the suburbs of Reims all of us saw themselves, regardless of beliefs and sexual orientation. The production at Łaźnia Nowa is coming into being at the time when Eribon's decade-old book is becoming exceptionally up to date – and this is definitely not a reason to rejoice. We talk with the authors of the production about identifying oneself with Returning to Reims, the mechanisms of diverse exclusions and searching for the proper means of dramatic expression for the text.
