The 10-year-old Zosia, who lives in the Bałuty district of Łódź, spends her holidays at home under the care of the eccentric aunt Róża. Thanks to her strange acquaintance with a new friend named Rutka the girl starts to explore the city from a different perspective. The new playmate is an emissary from the world which no longer exists. The heroine together with the audience set off on an emotional journey back in time.
The performance clashes the present with the past in a poetical, surreal and humorous way by confronting the picture of today's Łódź with the picture of the city under German occupation. It also juxtaposes the stories of two girls – the contemporary Zosia and Rutka, who remembers the time of the Litzmannstadt Ghetto. The world of the performance directed by Karolina Maciejaszek is constructed on the principle of specific mapping: a phantom-like image of the city from the past is projected on today's topography of Łódź.
