What seemed like fiction only yesterday tomorrow might turn out to be a reality. The epidemic is spereading so fast that everyone seems helpless and the growing panic brings chaos to the seemingly orderly world...
The Blind, a monumental outdoor performance by KTO Theatre, 10 years after its premiere, in the year when the coronavirus pandemic has stopped the world, is a mirror in which contemporary mechanisms of irrational choices, fear, dishonesty and disinformation are reflected all the more painfully.
The production directed by Jerzy Zoń was inspired by Blindness, a best-selling novel bythe Portuguese Nobel Prize winnerJosé Saramago. The show was nominated for the Edinburgh's Total Theatre Award 2012 in the category of Physical/Visual Theatre and has been presented over 100 times on 50 festivals all over the world, including South Korea, Iran, Mexico, Columbia, Spain, Portugal, Austria, Germany, Scotland, Belgium, Russia, Czech Republic, Romania, Ukraine and Costa Rica.
