Directed by:Wojtek Ziemilski

The title of Wojtek Ziemilski’s play automatically brings to mind associations with the theatre community and different models of building it. The audience might expect a series of confrontations with the performers and forced interactions aimed at breaking the theatrical illusion and the proverbial fourth wall. But nothing like that happens here; the director, as in his previous projects, wittily and perversely tests the limits of participatory theatre.
The self-referentialism of “Come Together”, when it comes to theatrical strategies and the behavior of both spectators and actors, is not only a source of numerous comical situations, but also allows a closer look at the medium itself. Ziemilski plays a variety of games with fossilized and predictable theatrical tools, trying to break past the comfort zone of all the evening’s participants, not only those on stage. In his actions, however, he is far from any illusion that he can bend the rules at will or control the direction of this community.
