Produced by the Krakowian underground theatre called art to go, directed by Dariusz Starczewski, the show is based on a play by Ingrid Lausund, who is one of the most acclaimed playwrights from the German-speaking world. This new translation of the text into Polish, prepared exclusively for the sake of this performance, is full of fierce word games that reveal the cruelty of the corporate environment, in which the action of the piece takes place. Five actors play out in a small, white space of an apartment room that could accommodate no more than thirteen audience members and start a true office rebellion. Following personal stories, entangled with plot threads typical of a rat race motif, with hatred towards the coworkers and mutual jealousy, are used in a struggle for a better job position and more money. Dressed up in elegant suits men and women in the show, smoking one cigarette after the other, carry out cynical conversations that uncover the shallowness of the stage world where human emotions serve as a mean to fight for promotion.
