This wandering street performance by the KTO Theatre is inspired by T.S. Eliot’s poetry. It presents a day in the life of a modern human – the contemporary everyman whose life is torn between home and a corporate job. The pilgrimage here becomes a quest for meaning, completely stripped of spirituality and beauty. And the world of the titular Peregrinus is a depressing digital civilization, filled with nothing but consumption: the home of the symbolic hero of our times is a window display. The play is completely wordless; instead it offers an eclectic musical selection consisting of pop and rap songs as well as movie soundtrack compositions and classical music. Peregrinus shows the adventures of its central figure in a variety of contexts of urban space.
