Iranian actress joins the INFRNO jury board

18 November 2016

International jury is what makes the Divine Comedy Festival so distinctive from other Polish festivals. Actors, curators, festival directors and theatre critics from Iran, Japan, Chile, Finland and Great Britain will look at the Polish theatre from a very different perspective, maybe detached from our social and political context which still remains crucial for Polish critics. This year’s discussions promise to be very exciting. Five international guests having a very different cultural background and representing diverse theatrical traditions will have to award and distinguish the best shows, roles, set designs, music and other performance components.

One of them is Ramona Shah, Iranian actress, model and festival director.

She studied acting at Azad Art and Architecture University. She also took part in acting workshops managed by Jean Louis Martinelli. As an actress, she took part in various theatre, film and art projects. She starred in a number of renowned theatre plays, eg. „The Flat on the 6th Floor” directed by Hamid Reza Falahati, „Macbeth” directed by Hossain Noshir and „Olivier Twist” by Asghar Khalili. Jury member at Aftaab Regional Theatre Festival, executive director at International Division and 3rd International Baran e Rahmat Art Festival. She teaches various acting workshops, eg. „Body&Movement” cycle. She also starred in various film productions, such as: Naser Khemira’s „Bab Aziz” and Abbas Kiarostami’s „Shirin”.
