Fifth day

On the fifth day of the festival we’ve got plentyof not only theatre treats for our audiences. At noon at the Festival Center another Something’s Cooking Backstage meeting. This time our guests, Jacek Poniedziałek and Magdalena Popławska, not only shares some stories about working on Kabaret Warszawski, but also prepare for the audience an oatmeal and a fruit salads – secrets to their great shape. The discussion is facilitated by Łukasz Maciejewski. There’s three Polish Contest shows playing today: Women as Lovers, directed by Ewelina Marciniak from Wybrzeże Theatre at 4 PM and 7 PM at Łaźnia Nowa Theatre, Radek Rychcik’s The Devil from Współczesny Theatre in Szczecin presented at 6.15 PM at National Stary Theatre and Marcin Liber’s For God’s Sake from Drama Theatre in Wałbrzych – at 8.15 at National Stary Theatre. The first one, based on Elfriede Jelinek’s novel, takes down patriarchal system that reduces women to love objects. The second, refers to pop-cultural images of evil, like Hollywood movies and analyze our most hidden fears. The third show, based on Jarosław Murawski’s text, investigates the phenomenon of Polish faith. There’s a Dantesque Scenes meeting with the artistic teams held after every show and led by, as follows: Łukasz Maciejewski, Joanna Derkaczew and Łukasz Drewniak. Join us!
