The Executive Manager of the Downtown Contemporary Arts Festival (D-CAF), Egypt’s only and largest multi-disciplinary contemporary arts festival that takes place in Downtown Cairo. Reem has attended and worked with several international festivals, including the Theaterlandschaft Mittelmeer Festival in Germany, Shubbak Festival in London, Avignon Festival in France, Edinburgh Fringe Festival in the UK, and Dream City Festival in Tunis. Reem has also been selected, last July 2017, to participate in the Masterclass of Theatrical Immersion, organized by TAMAM “Théâtre des Arts du Monde Arabe et de la Méditerranée” association at the Avignon Theater Festival. Allam has recently been awarded with distinction a UK Master’s Degree in Arts, Festivals, and Cultural Management from Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh, Scotland. She also has a passion for both writing and acting; she worked as a journalist for Scotland's Arts and Culture Magazine ”The Wee Review”, and acted in several short-films. Reem has been awarded the 2015/2016 UK Santander Scholarship Award, the 2014 Academic Achievement Cup for Highest GPA in her Bachelor degree at the American University in Cairo, and the Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society Membership Award.
He is an actor, director, producer and choreographer, member of Cia dos Atores. He has developed and participated in projects like riocenacontemporanea, in Rio de Janeiro, and Festival de Teatro de São José do Rio Preto, in São Paulo. He was part of the nucleus of the artistic direction of Espaço Cultural Sérgio Porto, through Cia dos Atores, and Teatro Ziembinski, on projects of artistic occupation for Rio de Janeiro’s City Hall. He was the Artistic Director of Ocupação CÂMBIO, at Teatro Gláucio Gill (2010-2011) and Teatro Municipal Café Pequeno (2012-2015). Augusto is a curator of Performing Arts for Galpão Gamboa and was awarded with the prize from the Association of Theater Producers of Rio de Janeiro in the special category for the project Gamboavista. He also directs TEMPO_FESTIVAL since its creation and is part of the Conselho Estadual de Política Cultural (State Council for Cultural Policies).
He graduated from the University of Basel having studied Cultural Management at post-graduate level. He has been the head of Performing Arts Services, a production agency that organizes theatre and dance productions, tours, etc., and has worked in collaboration with, amongst others, the Od-theater, Circle X Arts, Sankai Juku. He organized festivals around contemporary music in context of the inspirational sources of composers. Cooiman is the founder of the multi-disciplinary Festival CULTURESCAPES in 2003. Its focus has been on the cultural landscapes of Georgia, Ukraine, Armenia, Estonia, Romania, Turkey, Azerbajzan, China, Israel, Moscow, Balkan, Tokyo, Island. 2017 is the first edition of CULTURESCAPES as Biennale and will be dedicated to Greece. 2019 will Poland be the main theme. Since 2008 Jurriaan Cooiman is a member of the European Cultural Parliament. In 2011 he co-founded swissfestivals, which he presided ever since.
Matthias Pees initially worked as a freelance journalist and theater critic before becoming part of the artistic directing team at the Volksbühne Berlin under Frank Castorf as house-dramaturge from 1995 until 2000 and from 2000 until 2003 as dramaturge of the artistic director at the Schauspielhannover under Wilfried Schulz. In 2003 and 2004, he was program dramaturge and curator for the Ruhr Festival Recklinghausen. In 2004, he moved to São Paulo, Brazil, where he was executive director of the production office interior Producoes Artísticas Internacionais for international cultural exchange with which he created and realized projects in the fields of theater, dance, opera and visual arts until 2010. From 2008 until 2012, he was artistic advisor to the Vienna Festival for Latin America and curated theater festivals at the Hebbel am Ufer in Berlin. From 2010 until 2013, Matthias Pees was leading dramaturge of the Vienna Festival, under Luc Bondy and Stefanie Carp, as well as curator of the forumfestwochen. Since 2013 Matthias Pees is artistic and managing director of Künstlerhaus Mousonturm in Frankfurt.
A director/playwright/performer, and artistic director. She is a U.S.A. arts leader and principal artistic staff member at one of the top theatre companies in the United States, Center Theatre Group where she is Associate Artistic Director. Diane directs, writes, produces and presents new work of the highest caliber that she has developed over a thirty year career in artistic leadership and new play development in the United States. She has commissioned and produced both national and international companies including recently The Gob Squad (Germany), Rimini Protokoll (Germany), Guillermo Calderon (Chile), Lars Jan, (US) Lemi Panifasio (New Zealand), Largatijas Tiradas al Sol (Mexico), Mariano Pensoitti (Buenas Aires),The Rude Mechs (US), among many others. She curated with Mark Murphy and Mark Russell Radar L.A. in 2011 and 2013 in Los Angeles, an international contemporary theatre festival. She won an Off Broadway Obie Award for performance in Heather Woodbury’s ”Tale of Two Cities: An American Joyride on Multiple Tracks”, a five hour extravaganza. She has acted in multiple television series, films as well as countless plays. In 2016 President Obama recognized her and appointed her to the National Council on the Arts a position that advises the Director of the National Endowment for the Arts, an appointment she continues to fulfill.
One is a theater researcher and performing artist from Korea. Last three years she’s been travelling around Central Europe and focusing on the research theme: “New Generation of Contemporary Theater in Poland, Romania and Hungary”, she wrote a thesis on the same subject. Through this experience, she discovered various angles of Polish New Theater and made connection with emerging artist in young generation in Poland. Won also worked as an actress, performer, dramaturg and a curator, she collaborated with distinguished theatre companies and festivals in France, Hungary and South Korea.
